Lyndon Chubbuck QUOTE about artclub'Working with Micky Hoogen and the artclub on my February 20th to March 10th photography exhibition was indeed a joy. It far exceeded my expectations. From the big-picture concept, music, exotic performance art, evoking a perfect thematic tone, working with Ms. Hoogen was a pleasure. Her presentation supported and elevated the artistic values of my work effortlessly. Micky also has a firm hand on the tiller, attention to detail, is professional and offers the bonus of being a pleasant and gracious collaborator it the process.'Lyndon Chubbuck February 24, artclub @ supperclub LA
ABOUT LYNDON CHUBBUCK Lyndon Chubbuck is an award winning motion picture and television director and a photographer. He has won or been an official entrant in more than thirty international film festivals for such as: The War Bride, The Right Temptation, The Unnaturals and William Faulkner's, A Rose For Emily. Lyndon's father John grew up with an impoverished background, later to become a renowned scientist. Lyndon was raised in the privileged Georgetown and Capitol Hill areas amongst Washington D.C.'s Social Register. Living in this swatch of society, he learned the fundamentals of power and entitlement, but always felt like an interloper - a socio-economic voyeur. As a filmmaker, Lyndon has a cerebral interest in the nihilistic corrosion of society by violence and greed. And a soulful interests in self-empowerment by small, heroic actions. The review of The War Bride starring Anna Friel, and Academy Award winner Brenda Fricker by Box Office Magazine defines this aspect of his work: "Director Lyndon Chubbuck has orchestrated a profound and moving journey, a film in which ideas and themes emerge from the interaction of human beings, and not in competition with them. The weightier theme, which develops steadily throughout the film, deals with the inescapable effects of a global war and the extent to which a conflict can still wreak emotional havoc on those furthest removed from actual combat." Lyndon's conflicting self-identity is at the core of recurring themes in his photography. Lyndon Chubbuck's tantalizing photography will be available for purchase and on display until March 10, 2011. supperclub los angeles UNVEILS artclub FEATURING EXCLUSIVE WORK BY AWARD-WINNING DIRECTOR / PHOTOGRAPHER LYNDON CHUBBUCK MORE INFORMATION AND RESERVATIONS artclub will open it's doors at 5 pm to potential art buyers and influencers alike. Micky Hoogen introduces Judith WiersemaDecember 12, artclub @ supperclub LA ABOUT JUDITH WIERSEMA The promising Dutch artist Judith Wiersema was born in 1968 in the picturesque village Bergen. For more than fifteen years she puts her creative mind and energy into powerful forms in stone and wood. These firm materials symbolize her experience of resistance as she encountered in real life. Her work distinguishes itself due to an unique balance between realistic shapes and sizes of abstraction. The essence of her work in all her sculptures combines both strength and sensitivity of women. The message in her artwork is translated into highly sensual, revealing and teasing compositions. It gives her creations smoothly styled radiance. She transforms her sculptures into bronze and aluminium objects enhancing glamorous effects. She uses metaphorical symbolism in order to emphasize certain strong statements; as the female leg can represent either “Lady’s power” or ”standing your ground” or “hit and run…” The high heal not only refers to ”highly imposed standards’ but also has the meaning “go the extra mile” and the “woman’s secret armor”. It is Judith’s intention to tease the mind and provoke the thoughts; these vibrations reflect to infinite imagination.

He works for all the important public magazines and captured the essence of the Dutch celebrities. Now he takes it one step further. In his exhibition 'The silent Eye' he captures the essence of life that is around us on a daily basis, but that we don't see or are unaware of, simply because it can't be seen. The ultimate beauty of this existence isn't somewhere else, not in the future, not in other people, not in the other, not in the special. The beauty lies in the detail, in yourself, in the silence. As long as you are aware of it.
Enno's work was shown in the Supperclub Amsterdam, sunday april 5th through sunday april 9th.
